waking up to her smile this morning was the best... it made my day wonderful and reminded me why it's a blessing to be a mommy. (not that i need much reminding)

the view from our diningroom window. i love living in a house with large windows. the world outside looks like a shaken snowglobe with spinning snow from where we sit...

oh, and im currently loving this snowstorm because my Hubby got to stay home from work... what's better then being together and having everything we need with no reason to leave?

a simple craft that meant so much to her. i need to make more individual time with her. even if just for a few minutes. she's growing up too fast.

365/5

today's picture is of my brand new nephew! i am an aunt for the very first time!

introducing Parker Zehr...

he was born around 2:00 pm via c-section due to slow progression and fetal distress. and it's a good thing because his cord was wrapped around his neck. he weighs 7lbs 8oz. and is 18.5in long. he has long dark hair and MY nose!

i cannot explain the happiness I feel for my sister and her husband to finally have a child of their own. they are wonderful with my children. parker is a lucky little guy. and he gets me as an aunt. bonus!

we love you baby Parker!
welcome to the world!

a picture a day...

is my goal for my little blog. and if you're lucky, a little story to go with it!

since today is the 4th, here's four pictures...

here's Liam posing for a picture of his new hair cut. i loved his curls but i sadly butchered his hair trying to fix his bangs that it all had to be trimmed. he looks super handsome and I know his hair will soon grow out.

here's a picture of baby Faye in a hat I made before she was born that just so happens to match her adorable sleeper I found at old navy the other day. super cute!

our 6 week old chunker at bath time. she's now sleeping 7 hrs at night (knock on wood)

our beautiful Olivia on her first sledding trip! she loved it and we had so much fun! she was catching snow on her tongue that was blowing off the trees.

goodbye '09 hello 2010...

this time last year i wrote this.

now, here i am a year later reflecting
back over the year i was looking
ahead to. it's a weird feeling because
a lot more happened in 2009 then i
had planned on. in a good way!

in '09 we celebrated 5 years of marriage

in '09 i began my attempt at 365 days of grace
and made it to entry #164

in '09 we were surprised with another baby

in '09 we bought our first home

in '09 i crocheted A LOT

in '09 my sister might still make me an aunt
(she's due jan. 4th)

in '09 i chilled out (even more) about life
and now have more peace about
everything thanks to my Lord

in '09 i learned more about God's grace

---------------------

in 2010 i will learn even more about God's grace

in 2010 i will be an aunt!

in 2010 i will learn how to sew better and
challenge myself to make clothing

in 2010 i will get toned

in 2010 i will have so much fun with my kids

in 2010 we will buy a bigger vehicle
(eventually)

in 2010 we will be married for 6 years

in 2010 we will have a 5 yr old, 3 yr old,
and a 1 yr old.

in 2010 we will be praying about the next
step in adding to our family for the year 2011
(to adopt or not)

in 2010 we will enjoy our new house and continue
making it our own

in 2010 i will cook more

in 2010 i will reach out more

in 2010 i will write more

in 2010 i want to speak
(this is scary to write)

in 2010 i want to have energy
(i spent most of '09 w/o because of pregnancy
and then a new baby)

in 2010 i want to grow even closer to God,
my husband, my kids, my family, and my friends...

here's to 2010!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
