6 years ago today we said
'I do'...

We eloped... At a courthouse...

6 years ago it was for reasons that are bittersweet to us...

6 years ago we thought we knew what we were doing...

5 years ago we figured out that we had no idea what we were doing and that we'd better figure it out soon cause our first-born was due anyday...

Last year we started to figure it out...

This year is even better...

I can honestly say that love grows with time...

We have taught eachother so much and together we have learned even more...

We don't have it all together...

We probably never will...

We feel greatly blessed when we look back and see how God made us better out of the messes we created.

We are living proof that God cares and can work miracles within marriages...

If you let Him...

We've cried but we've laughed a whole lot more...

We are truly happy and are beyond blessed...

We look forward to the future and what God has in store for us...

And, hopefully, many more years to celebrate...

August 13th, 2004
We had a ceremony to celebrate with friends and family. I was six weeks pregnant with Olivia....

I remember this day! Congratulations you guys! I'm so glad you got married, and I'm so glad that God is using you in so many ways!

I also remember when Aaron called Jess to see how you guys were doing and he said that you eloped... Aaron misunderstood and thought he said you broke up... Glad you eloped!

What a sweet story! Isn't it funny how as we get a little older, we realize how little that we know! As long as we can recognize no matter how much we know, there is always more to learn, about God, love, each other, and just plain life, life will always be an adventure. It is only when we think that we have it all figured out that it gets hard. I am so glad that you have grown so much since you got married and that you are a part of our lives now so that we can watch God continue to bless you and minister His through you. You are a beautiful family!!! As you keep your eyes on Jesus and let Him lead you, everything just keeps getting better and better too. :) The story will even get sweeter!
